London Wedding Photographer – Natural, Documentary Wedding Photography

Hey, I’m Matt, an award-winning London wedding photographer specialising in natural, documentary wedding photography for couples who want real moments, real emotion, and photos that truly feel like them.

Based in London and photographing weddings across the capital and the UK, I capture weddings in an unobtrusive, relaxed way, focusing on authentic connection, laughter, and storytelling, not awkward poses or forced smiles.

If you’re planning a wedding in London, you’re in exactly the right place.

Documentary Wedding Photography in London & Beyond

As a documentary wedding photographer in London, my approach is a pretty simple one; I'm there are your #1 hype man, present when you need me and invisible when you don't. You guys get to go and be fully present with your favourite people, I'll let your day unfold naturally and work to quietly capture the moments that matter most.

From emotional ceremonies at London town halls like Hackney, Islington and Wandsworth, to stylish city receptions at beautiful spots like Burgh House, to pre-wedding welcome drinks on the Thames and to wild dance floors, my work is about telling the full story of your wedding day with honesty, a bit of humour and a tonne of creativity.

My style of London wedding photography is perfect for couples who:

👉 Want to enjoy their day without being directed

👉 Care about genuine emotion over staged performances

👉 Want wedding photos that age beautifully over time

Does that sound like you?

Featured London Wedding Photography

One of the most beautiful things about a London wedding is that every wedding is different, and London weddings are some of the most exciting and diverse I photograph.

From intimate ceremonies to full-day celebrations, my London wedding photography style tells stories that reflect each couple’s personality and connection. That's the whole point, right? Your photos should be a reflection of who you are as people and as a couple, and they should make you feel what it was like to be there.

Hey, I'm Matt

How's it going?

I'm a London wedding photographer, but more than that, I'm a lover of human connection. Watching people connect on so many different levels is fascinating to me, and I get so much joy from being able to capture those moments and immortalise them in photo form. Weddings are crammed full of emotion and connection, and they're the best playground if you're looking for those moments.

With over 14yrs experience, I've been lucky enough to shoot weddings across the world, but regardless of location, season, or weather, one thing is always consistent; moments of connection between people makes the most powerful photos. For me, that's everything! Making photos that really mean something to people.

My work has been described as immersive, emotional and authentic, because of my relaxed, natural approach and the fact I make my photos from right in the mix, so you and your loved ones can look back at some incredible moments from the perspective of someone who was there when it was all happening.

So, what's it like to work with me? No being away from your guests for hours on end, just loads of fun, plenty of support and maximum time with your loved one's, and real, emotional and authentic storytelling.

Natural, Candid & Emotional Wedding Photos

My documentary wedding photography style perfectly blends candid wedding photography, emotional storytelling and atmospheric guest moments with some relaxed couple portraits (if you want them). I won’t pull you away from your guests for hours or interrupt your day. Instead, I focus on documenting what actually happens, all the hugs, the nerves, the joy, and everything in between.

Why do I choose to shoot this way? Because this means my couples have the best experience possible on their day and they get a set of wedding photos that feel real — because they are!

"Matt!! We have so many words but no idea how to say them. Your talent is outstanding and spectacular and just frigging * chefs kiss *. We went through the photos last night with our family so we could all experience them for the first time together and we were all blown away. We all knew you were AMAZING but the photos are on a different level. We can't say it enough how blessed we feel to have found you. You really did feel like part of our family. Your approach, personality, warmth and ability are out of this world. You'll hold a special place with us Matt, we hope you know that!"
