Destination Wedding Photographer in Mexico & Cancun
Life as a destination wedding photographer is pretty great. But when you get a message from two amazing people asking if you'd travel to Cancun, Mexico to shoot their wedding weekend, it got a whole lot better! Not only did I get to shoot a destination wedding in Mexico, I got to do it with my #1 partner in crime, my Wife Jess, with Ceremony. We had met Jen & Kelly 18 months previous at Allison & Alex's destination wedding in Sorrento (Kelly is Allison's Brother) and he'd mentioned to me that he was proposing to Jen on that trip and we joked that I'd see him again at his wedding, so actually getting to make the trip and be there with them meant the world to both of us. Jen & Kelly's energy is magnetic and you just want to spend more and more time with them. They love their people so openly and that's such a beautiful thing to witness. So, spending a few days with everyone was super special to us, and we certainly made some core memories on this trip.
Things kicked off on the Friday with an epic boat trip out to Isla Mujeres for some sightseeing, sunshine and a hell of a pre-wedding party. So let's get into it...

Mexico Wedding Photographer for Story-Driven Destination Weddings
I'll be honest with you, being a Mexico wedding photographer was never on my 'bucket list', but now I've been and shot my first destination wedding in Mexico, I'm itching to get back there. Cancun is an awesome spot, with it's gorgeous beaches and warm water, but we were lucky enough to spend the rest of our trip travelling to Riviera Maya, Tulum and Holbox, which are all amazing too. Away from weddings, I'm a huge street photography fan, so spending some time after the wedding just walking with my camera really wet my whistle for a potential trip back on a street mission. Jess and I (Jess put in all the work for this) also took the opportunity to shoot some editorial work in Tulum with the amazing Greta, which you can see here. The opportunity was too good to miss.
But hey, back to Jen & Kelly's amazing destination wedding in Cancun. So, the boat party was mega, we all came back buzzing and the next morning we fired out of bed, ready to dive head first into their wedding day. Keep scrolling to see just how awesome it was...
